ABOUT SUPERNURSE

Founded by nurses. Built by moms.

Two founders lived the same care gap from opposite directions, one needed trusted newborn care, one went looking and found nothing worth her trust. So we built the care we would trust with our own children.

OUR STORY

It started with a question no one could answer.

SuperNurse began with two founders realizing the help they needed wasn't out there. For one of us, that realization came through an IVF journey that didn't go as planned, a career built deliberately, a timeline that moved up instead of back, and an honest question: how do you keep functioning at this level with a newborn, and where is the support that makes it possible?

The other of us was already living it. With a new baby of her own, she went looking for trained overnight nursing support, and found a marketplace of "newborn specialists" without credentials, without clinical training, without anyone standing behind them. Families were searching for this on Facebook Marketplace.

Between us, we have over two decades in healthcare, and we have both worked in pediatric emergency, where a care gap looks like a family arriving at 2am with something that should have been caught at home. We saw the gaps from every side, and nothing credentialed existed to fill them. So we built it, for our own children, and for everyone's.

MISSION

To bring expert pediatric nursing into the home, giving families skilled clinical care, calm reassurance, and the confidence that their child is in the safest hands.

VISION

To be the most trusted name in family care at home, raising the standard for how children and parents are cared for in the moments that matter most.

OUR VALUES

Every decision begins with what is best for the child and the family. We care for the whole household and support parents so they can be at their best for their children.

Families First

Care is delivered by regulated Licensed Nurses with NICU, newborn, pediatric and maternity experience, under Nurse Practitioner oversight. We hold every visit to an evidence-based clinical standard, because nothing less is good enough for a child.

Clinical Excellence

Parents receive honest, expert direction they can lean on. We help families feel informed, confident and never alone through the hardest and most tender moments of early parenthood.

Trusted Guidance

When we commit to being there, we are. Families can count on consistent, dependable care to the same high standard every time, from people who follow through.

THE FOUNDERS

The nurses behind the name

Two founders who came at the same gap from opposite directions, one from the emergency department and one from her own kitchen at 3am.

NURSE PRACTITIONER · CO-FOUNDER

Kassandra Di Cosola

Kassandra Di Cosola is a Nurse Practitioner, Medical Director and co-founder of SuperNurse, where clinical expertise meets the comfort of in-home newborn care.

She has spent her career in the pediatric emergency department at SickKids, starting as a Registered Nurse and going on to practise as a Nurse Practitioner. She holds an undergraduate degree from Western University and a Master's in Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner from Toronto Metropolitan University.

Working at the front door of the healthcare system taught her something she could not unsee. So many of the crises that arrive in the emergency room begin quietly at home, in the exhausting early weeks when families have the least support and the most questions.

SuperNurse is her answer, catching small problems before they become big ones. She provides the clinical oversight behind every family we care for.

Registered Nurse · CO-FOUNDER

Maya Hassan-Agha

Maya Hassan-Agha is a Registered Nurse and co-founder of SuperNurse, where hospital-trained pediatric nursing meets the reality of what families actually need at home.

She began her career in the emergency department at SickKids, then moved into clinical research across Emergency, Neurosurgery and Infectious Disease, studying how care for children could be delivered better. Wanting to understand the systems behind that care, she completed her MBA at the Rotman School of Management.

Then she had her own baby. She went looking for trained overnight nursing support and found nothing she would trust. The gap she had spent years studying from the inside was sitting in her own home.

SuperNurse is the care she could not find, built to the standard she would accept for her own child. She sets the standard every SuperNurse family experiences.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The standard behind every visit.

01

Licence over labels

“Specialist” and “expert” are marketing words. Licensed Nurse is a regulated one. We only send the latter.

02

The parent is a patient too

A well baby and a depleted parent isn't success. Your recovery is part of every care plan.

03

Confidence is the goal

Every skill our nurses use is taught, never gatekept. Success is how capable you feel when the care ends.

04

Someone stands behind us

Regulation, insurance, documentation and NP oversight. When you let someone into your home, accountability matters.

05

Care before the crisis

Most of what fills an emergency department isn't an emergency. Skilled care at home catches problems while they're still small, and quiet.

06

This work deserves its worth

Overnight newborn care has always existed, done invisibly and unpaid. We attach real credentials and fair pay to labour that was always there.

Clinical Oversight

A Nurse Practitioner behind every case.

Our Medical Director is a Nurse Practitioner with frontline pediatric emergency experience. She reviews every family's care plan, sets our clinical protocols and is available to our nurses whenever a question arises, and she can assess, advise and prescribe by video.

It is the oversight you would expect in a hospital, brought quietly into your home.
