WHEN THEY'RE UNWELL · TORONTO & GTA
When they're unwell, you're not alone.
A Licensed Nurse comes to your home when your child is sick, clinical assessment, comfort care and clear guidance on what to watch for, so you can rest or work while they're truly watched over.
CARE BEGINS WITH ONE CALL. TELL US WHAT YOUR FAMILY NEEDS, AND WE WILL MATCH YOU WITH THE RIGHT NURSE.

WHEN TO CALL US
Families call us on the worst days.
"They're sick and I can't miss work"
Your toddler has hand, foot and mouth, and you have a full week at work you cannot step away from. A nurse stays home, cares for them properly, and watches for anything that needs more attention.
"We're home from surgery and unprepared"
Your child is being discharged after surgery, and coming home is the part nobody prepped you for. A nurse supports recovery at home: wound checks, pain and medication management, and knowing normal healing from something that is not.
"Nothing is staying down"
Your child has the stomach flu and cannot keep fluids down. A nurse assesses hydration and vital signs and supports rehydration, with a Nurse Practitioner deciding whether an emergency visit is genuinely needed or whether you can safely ride it out at home.
WHAT THE NURSE ACTUALLY DOES
01
In-home assessment and vital signs
Nursing assessment, heart rate, breathing and hydration checked properly, and rechecked through the day so a change is caught early rather than at midnight.
02
Rehydration and symptom support
Small, frequent fluids given the way they are tolerated, plus fever and comfort management, so a stomach bug does not become an IV in the emergency department.
03
Post-operative and discharge care
Wound checks, dressing changes, pain control and mobility, with a clear read on what is normal healing and what is not.
04
Medication guidance and management
Correct doses at the right intervals, tracked and written down, including the antibiotics and painkillers that are easy to lose count of on no sleep.
05
Nurse Practitioner on call
If your nurse sees something concerning, our NP reviews it and tells you plainly whether this needs the emergency department tonight or can be managed at home.
The difference: you are not left googling symptoms and second-guessing at 2am. A regulated clinician is in your home assessing your child, and a Nurse Practitioner is behind them, so the call on whether to go to the emergency department is a clinical one and not a panicked guess.
A DAY WE SEE OFTEN
The day it lands on you, and there is nobody to hand it to.
A fever, and a meeting you cannot move
The fever arrives overnight, so daycare is out and school is out. You do not know what this is yet. They are not feeding well, they are not resting well, and they want to be held by you and only you. Your calendar has a meeting in it that genuinely cannot move.

A nurse comes to your home and takes the clinical part. Vitals rechecked through the day, fluids offered patiently and tracked, comfort and rest protected, and a proper watch kept for anything that needs escalating. You get the extra hands so you can keep being a superparent.
WHAT THAT VISIT LOOKS LIKE
One to one care
Your nurse is watching one child, yours, and nothing else. Vitals and pain scored properly, fluids and output tracked, and rest protected.
Education, so tomorrow is yours
How to give the medication on schedule, what to offer and when, which positions help, and exactly which signs mean call someone.

GOOD TO KNOW
Available as one-off visits for Toronto and GTA families, no package required. Many families first meet us this way, then stay for ongoing care.
SuperNurse complements, never replaces, your child's physician and emergency services. If your child is seriously unwell, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Paying for care
What it costs, and how families cover it.
Paying directly
Most families pay for this care themselves, and they do it for two reasons. They want the best hands on their child, and they want them on the day they are actually needed rather than whenever a referral clears.

Paying directly also means the care is not shaped by what a plan will reimburse. You choose the hours, the nurse stays as long as you booked, and the visit covers what your child needs rather than what fits a checklist.
Insurance
Some plans cover in-home nursing and some do not. Reach out to your provider first and ask what private duty nursing your policy covers, what documentation they require, and whether your Health Spending Account can be used.

Once you know what they need, our team can support the claim where care is medically necessary, including receipts and the clinical documentation insurers usually ask for.
