Every package includes a review of care by our Medical Director, clinical notes from every visit, and virtual Nurse Practitioner access. Overnight shifts can become daytime visits as your needs change, and nothing expires inside your twelve-month care window. Need a different shape? Tell us on the call and we will quote it.
SICK-CHILD RELIEF · BY THE SHIFT
When they're unwell, a nurse comes to you.
Sick-child care is booked by the shift, not by the package, for the days nobody plans for: a fever and a meeting that cannot move, a stomach bug, the week after surgery. A Registered Nurse comes to your home to assess, comfort and watch, with our Nurse Practitioner on call for the question of whether this needs the emergency department.

CLAIMING THROUGH YOUR PLAN
Sick-child care is the service families submit to an extended health plan or Health Spending Account. It is Private Duty Nursing, delivered by a Registered Nurse (RN) in your private residence, and where it has been prescribed we provide the itemized receipt and clinical documentation your plan asks for. We work with you to make sure you have everything your provider asks for. Coverage is between you and your plan, and we cannot guarantee reimbursement.

Yes. Hours in your package can shift between overnight and daytime visits as your needs change. Many families start night-heavy and move hours to daytime coaching as sleep returns.
Yes. Fifteen minutes, confidential and without obligation. We will recommend the smallest package that truly covers you, and say so if you need less.

THE FINE PRINT, WITHOUT THE FINE PRINT
Terms in plain language.
Nothing here should surprise you later. Everything below is confirmed in writing before your first shift, and we will walk through it on your consultation call.
Minimum shift length
Overnight shifts run a minimum of eight hours, typically 10pm to 6am. Shorter daytime visits of four hours are occasionally possible where the schedule allows, and are arranged case by case.
Unused hours and expiry
Hours can be rebalanced between overnight and daytime visits at any point in your twelve months, and held back for a sleep regression or a sick day later in the year. Nothing expires inside that window.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Plans can be cancelled up to two months in advance. For individual shifts we ask for 48 hours' notice.
Travel
Care within our core Toronto and GTA service area carries no travel fee. Visits beyond it may carry a travel charge, quoted and agreed in writing before booking rather than added afterwards.
Deposits
A deposit reserves your dates and is credited in full against your first invoice. The amount depends on how far ahead you are booking: an early booking that holds a nurse for months carries more than a last-minute request.
Insurance and Health Spending Accounts
We issue an itemized receipt on request, showing nursing hours and the delivering nurse's registration. Some families submit these to a private insurer or Health Spending Account. Coverage is entirely between you and your plan, and we cannot guarantee reimbursement.
